Let it be clearly known that out of all the perfect collections for Ys IV, this is probably the best one overall. Catchy melodies, soaring sweeping orchestrated pieces and some funky guitar work make this collection a must own.

Sound Team JDK is again the forerunners headlining the music for Ys IV. They did a great job as usual, incorporating real instruments with synth work without it sounding horrid. The second track, Fountain of Love is a great little bubbly song with the keys tapping and moving in the right direction. Sadly, this whole album has short songs. I personally consider this album a pop album because of the songs shortness. Plus many of the tracks on here are poppy.

Puroma Rock is probably one of the most memorable songs, partly because it's 4 minutes long. The song starts out with a bass drum, a constant keyboard work in the far background and then the full melody comes into play with fancy guitar work and a nice bass work which then goes right into a un-annoying synth work piece. JDK is probably one of the few companies that can get away with doing various synth work and not annoy the crap out of me.

Battle 58 is a very moving piece as well, more urgent and frantic than most battle themed songs. This is also a treat, as it reaches the 3:30 minute mark before this song is over.

Puroma Rock, Lilia, Karhna and Battle 58. One of the albums best tunes are all thrown together to make one special song at the end of the album, Ys IV Super Mega Mix Version 1. Man, this song gets you moving! I never heard of mix work done so well before I heard this song. Everything slides into the other song so easily and everything fits where it should fit. The live playing of various instruments makes it even livelier, as well.

Every single track is pretty much gold, and you can at least find something to enjoy, though you won't have to look far. If you can find this ubber hard CD, pick it up immediately. It's worth a lot more than its sticker price and you won't regret a minute of it.
