This is the second album of the Final Fantasy Vocal Collection. (The first one being "Pray"wink. The second of this collection is not better than the first one. (Well, that's my opinion) But, it doesn't mean it's entirely bad.

The CD starts with an arranged version of the FF4 main theme. The song (even if the title is in English) is in Japanese. The song is good and you'll immediately recognize the main theme. The next track, is "Eternal legend of the wind" from FF3. The song is in Portuguese with a samba beat. "Have you ever seen me?" is a cabaret-broadway-dixieland-mix musical style. The theme rearranged here is "Little Tozas village" from FF3. It's a cute song, but not the best.

"La valse des Amoureux" is a newly written track. I think they put it there just to say there was a French song on the album. If you like French love songs or waltz, you'll like this one. "Gaia" is the main theme from the first Final Fantasy. It's rearranged beautifully, with piano, strings and the singer. The song is in Japanese though. But, it's one of the best ones on the album. The next track is another beautifully written track. It clearly expresses the title. It's kind of a sad song, but it's really beautiful. This one is "Nostalgia" taken from FF5. The seventh track is "Home, sweet home" from FF5. The song makes me think of a Chinese song but I don't know which style it is.

"Estrelas" is "Melody of Lute" from FF4. The song is in Portuguese an it's again in a samba style. I love these Portuguese songs, they just make me dance! The next track, is the theme of Relm. This one is completely vocal. A choir accompanies the singer (or so I think because I heard they were bagpipes). If you like slow and melodic songs, this one is for you. "Love will grow" is the ending theme of FF2. This one is rearranged in a "Melodies of life" style. It could have been in a Final Fantasy just like "Eyes on Me". It ends with a choir accompanying the singer. It's one of the best songs of the CD. The CD ends with an extraordinary surprise: a jazz (lounge) version of the Prelude. If you never heard Japanese doing scat-singing, here's your chance. This is my favorite one. Sure, the lyrics may not make sense but the song is good.

So, this may not be as good as "Pray" but it is still a good CD. Again, we can hear the extraordinary work of a great compositor. So I give 88 out of 100.
