The Game:
The game itself has a great spirit and story ... as we would expect from Konami games. The storyline follows the journey of Mcdohl who works as a mercenary of the Imperial State.
Mcdol's first mission is to go a town called "Rockland" and colect the taxes, which have been late of payment but the situation gets out of hand and the Imperial State starts breaking the hell loose. After that, Mcdohl's journey separates from Imperial State and he becomes the Leader of the Liberation Army.
The Battling System:
Battle system was a surprise because it was so darn good and well planned but it was a bit difficult sometimes ... anyway good and smooth Konami did that thing well.
the another good side of Suikoden was those big army battles what give you a chance to lead a big gang of soldiers and magicians and stuff like that and the lives of that army is in your hands!
Music:
Again I was surprised that this RPG has a classical music theme, what later was the so called "emotion keeper" I especially loved the army battle music and normal battle music.
Gameplay:
Gameplay wasn't really good and it was a big disappointment but it doesn't crash the Spirit of Suikoden
Visuals and Graphics:
The game had pretty poor visuals and graphics
what you can see at the world map because the character is so small and the colors aren't the best but the game is old and so is it's Graphical engine so...
Last Words:
Genso Suikoden has the good spirit of Old style RPG and good musics so it's worth of playing if you love RPG's. the game is pretty hard to get cause of it's age but Suikoden 2 is available in many stores also Suikoden 3 what I haven't even tried yet...
